Catalan newspaper “El Mundo Deportivo” reports that FC Barcelona and Arsenal have made a deal on Arsenal`s midfielder and Spain international Cesc Fabregas (22).
The Fabregas deal would go through this summer if Arsenal fails to qualify for the Champions League but since the Gunners took a 2-0 win at Celtic, the scenario in which Cesc would join Barcelona this season now seems highly unlikely.
According to the source, if Arsenal qualifies for the Champions League, they would allow the Fabregas transfer to FC Barcelona next year for a fee of 35 million euros. Reportedly, Arsene Wenger is aware of the player`s desire to return to Barcelona and would grant the transfer as a rewards for Cesc`s loyalty towards Arsenal over the past seasons.
